DSM Engine Swaps
850 for standard swap labor : This is labor costs for a straight swap of a 4G63, nothing
else included.
150 for 1g CAS conversion labor : We convert your a 1g CAS to work in your 2g ecu. This
will allow you to modify your base timing and give you a more finite grasp of
tuning your car without spending more money on a timing controller.
300 for Pro Street Inspection :
We take apart your new block, inspect for anything obvious, like damage to belts,
strange wear or problematic mechanical issues. We do not perform a leakdown or motor
performance diagnostic here. We replace bad gaskets and freshen the seals if needed.
Now would be a great time to install a HKS or Mitsubishi
Metal Head Gasket and ARP head studs free of charge.
Q : Will Pro Street sell me a used motor?
A : No, due to these "importing" companies and their typically horrible and
unethical business practices, we have discountined selling used motors and used
transmissions. We prefer you purchase the motor from these people directly,
then bring us the motor. This prevents us from being held accountable for bad
motors given to you by these companies. We apologize about this kind of inconvenience,
but we have seen some really bad motors as well as some real top notch ones. Its really
just a crapshoot. We recommend always paying extra for the warranty and
making sure these people give you what they promise. Dont believe the good 'ol
"We pressure test and crank over each motor before they leave here"
Q : Why dont you want to sell me a used motor?
A : We care a great deal about our motors, and want them to always do well and perform,
after all, it is our name on these blocks. Having said that, we cannot give our
full warranty on something that we havent personally put together and spent time
on every last detail. We sell PSI Street Blocks and PSI Drag Blocks, nothing else.

Some of these places do not have very good grammar. Make sure they give you
the correct generation motor and be specific when you talk to them about transmissions.
Like we said, your experience with these companies may vary, most of the motors
come in and last for a LONG TIME with heavy heavy boost and load, and a slim few we've seen
I wouldnt wish on my worst enemy. Make sure you get all the warranty info and registration.
Q : If I swap in a bad motor, will you guys remove it?
A : Unfortunately, we will not be able to remove it without a new invoice being written. We will
work with you for a bit of a discount if the terms are acceptable, but you are paying for labor
that was performed, the warranty on your motor is with the company you purchased it from. If we perform
the labor wrong we will do everything in our power to make it right. We care a great deal
about our customers and want everyone to be satisfied.
Q : What kinds of problems have you seen from these companies?
A : We have a small percentage of motors that come in from these guys that have bad bad issues. We would have to
guess in the 4-5 percentage range have no right being sold, let alone being in a car. Heres just one example of a
motor fresh off their truck, the customer opted for the Pro Street Inspection and this is what we found.
